Amnesty calls UN for investigation of the human rights violations in Turkey

Amnesty International has issued a written statement to the 35th session of the UN Human Rights Council (6 – 23 June 2017). It is stated that almost a year since the coup attempt of July 2016, human rights enjoyment is under attack in Turkey. While the deterioration of the human rights situation in Turkey is not new, the scale of the current crackdown and its impact have been described as unprecedented by Amnesty International and other domestic and international organizations.
